HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
Acute;
Inhaled; Both solvent and propellent act as simple asphyxiants, and at high vapour levels may cause loss of consciousness and death from oxygen deprivation.
Exposure Limits Solvent
Acute Inhalation Albino Rats (Spraque-Dawley) 4 hr-LC50’ 62,000 ppm.
Exposure Limits Propellant; [NOHSC]
TLV-TWA; Carbon dioxide 5,000 ppm, 9,000 mg/m3 TLV-STEL; Carbon dioxide 30,000 ppm, 54,000 mg/m3
[NOHSC] - National Occupational Health and Safety Commission [Worksafe Australia]
Swallowed; Simular symptoms as for inhalation. Discomfort due to the volatility of the solvent would be expected.
Non Toxic; > 5 grams per Kg Body weight,
Cardiac sensitisation threshold, 20,000ppm.
Skin; If sprayed directly onto the skin, the solvent may have a degreasing effect which might lead to irritation.
Eyes; If sprayed directly into the eyes., solvent will irritate before evaporating. Chronic; No data.
FIRST AID; If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre.
Swallowed; If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water.
Do NOT give stimulants
Skin; If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly.
Eyes; If in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.
Inhaled; Remove from exposure. If breathing has stopped, apply artificial respiration. In severe cases, obtain medical attention. Do NOT give stimulants or adrenalin (epinephrine).
FIRST AID FACILITIES RECOMMENDED;
Eye wash. Hand wash basin.
ADVICE TO DOCTOR
Product is an aerosol containing non-toxic Cleaner Degreaser
The solvent and the propellent can act as simple asphyxiants. treat symptomatically. Contact Poisons Information Centre.
HAZARD INFORMATION OTHER PROPERTIES;
Solvent evaporates rapidly to no residue.
ENGINEERING CONTROLS;
Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid using in enclosed spaces. Consider local mechanical exhaust/extraction to keep airborne contamination below TLV.

PERSONAL PROTECTION;
Do not spray directly into eyes, mouth or nose. Avoid spraying directly onto the skin. Do not smoke while using this product; solvent vapours drawn into lighted cigarettes will decompose to form toxic products of combustion.
Personal protection to be selected from those recommended below, as appropriate to mode of use, quantity handled and degree of hazard;
Self contained breathing apparatus, Supplied-air hood, Face shield or safety glasses, Gloves, rubber or plastic, Overalls.
SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION STORAGE ADVICE;
Store in a cool, <50°C, well ventilated place, out of reach of children. Large quantities should be stored in a dangerous goods store. Store out of direct sunlight. No smoking or welding. Prevent vapours from collecting in enclosed spaces. Protect from physical damage. Attend to leaking cans immediately; avoid secondary accidents.
SPILLS AND DISPOSALS;
Leaking cans should be carried to a safe, open area for atmospheric evaporation. Ventilate area to dispel any residual vapours.
FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD; Yes, contents under pressure
Solvent vapour/air mixture may be decomposed by very high temperatures to form toxic products. Cans may rupture violently if involved in a fire. Evacuate Immediate Area.
DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS;
Carbon Dioxide, Hydrochloric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, and Carbonyl Halides such as Phosgene. Solvent incompatible with finely divided active metals, alkali earth metals. (May cause strong exothermic reaction.) Strong oxidising agents and some desiccants may react. Solvent vapour/air mixture may be decomposed at very high temperatures eg. by welding or other high temperature source.
