CHARACTERISTICS:

Extreme Pressure and Anti-Wear Additives

Mainlube 240 is fortified with E.P.(Extreme Pressure), anti-wear and anti-oxidation additives. 240’s E.P. and anti-wear additives provide efficient operation under high loads and are compatible with all metals.

The addition of Mainlube 240 to Oil will increase the lubricants ability to resist squeeze-out reducing metal-to-metal contact. Mainlube 240 bonds to metal surfaces forming a chemical compound highly resistant to extreme pressure, reducing wear and downtime.

Hydraulics

Mainlube 240 stabilises hydraulic fluids by reducing lubricant shearing one of the main causes of midday fade. Ordinary lubricants tend to increase in viscosity over time as the oil oxidises reducing service life. Mainlube 240 reduces oxidation of the lubricant extending service life ensuring smooth startups in colder climates.

Metal Protection

Mainlube 240’s friction modifiers bond a protective film between the metal surfaces reducing frictional drag, shear, galling, plucking and seizing of equipment.

Versatility

Mainlube 240 is versatile and can be used in all types of lubricants increasing their service life and the service life of the equipment. Mainlube 240 is efficient in reducing maintenance and down time. Mainlube 240 can be used in manual, automatic and semi-automatic lubrication systems and will not increase lubricant viscosity applied at a ratio of 10% or less.
